If you have the Freight field enabled in ABBYY, below are the details on how RapidAP and ABBYY will handle it if the freight amount is included in the subtotal and there is no freight line item printed on the invoice.




ABBYY: 

  • Invoice Header - Freight: Extracted – amount should be excluding GST 
  • Invoice Header - Subtotal: Train the document to extract the amount excluding the freight, if printed. If not, clear the Subtotal field and ABBYY will calculate the amount.
  • Invoice Line Item - Freight Line Item: No freight line item since the invoice has not printed it 

 

RAPID: 

  • Rapid rule for handling Freight will add the Freight Amount extracted by ABBYY and add it to the Subtotal.  The rule also generates a freight line item with tax. 

 

Example:  

ABBYY Document Training:  

  • Ensure Freight Amount extracted for Invoice Header 
  • Ensure Subtotal excludes Freight Amount for Invoice Header 
  • For the above invoice, there is a Subtotal that excludes Freight – Parts Total.  This should be trained in ABBYY for Subtotal.   

     

ABBYY Manual process: If Subtotal excluding Freight is not available, you will need to clear the value in the field and then click on heck Rules for ABBYY to recalculate with the correct Subtotal 




RAPID:
