Xero Export Configuration

To add Xero export connector, first select Setting tab and Export Settings, then click on the Plus button located on the top right hand corner

Select Xero and click on OK (tick) button.

Xero export connector will be shown as part of the list in the left hand, click on it to see the configuration window.

Select the Invoice type.  SERVICE_INVOICE only sends Invoice header data to Xero.  ITEM_INVOICE sends both Invoice header data and Table Line details data to Xero.  CREDIT_NOTE explicitly sends Credit Notes to Xero..

There are two options to connect to Xero.

1. Use Partner Connection option, which means, once Xero credentials are provided, ELAP Cloud will store them in the database, so you do not need to login again in Xero. (recommended).

2. Without Use Partner Connection option, the credentials need to be provided every 30 minutes. If you use this option, we recommend connecting to Xero just before exporting the documents.

Xero accepts invoices in DRAFT (Authorisation completed in Xero), SUBMITTED (Authorisation completed in Xero) or AUTHORISED status.  Select the preferred status you would like to have on your invoices when they are submitted to Xero.

Select how you would like the image of the invoice to be sent to Xero, either as just a link to the document or the image itself.

To connect to Xero, click on the Connect button.

The system will take you to XERO login page.  Enter your Xero login username and password and login.

Select your company file and click Authorise to allow ELAP Cloud to connect to Xero.

The following messages will be displayed.  Click OK and your XERO connection is now set up.

If you want to add additional fields to your Xero export click on Plus button, 

Select the fields for the Sheet header or Table header from the drop down box to select the appropriate fields you wish to add. 

Select the fields you wish to add by clicking on them and then click on the "Tick" at the bottom of the screen.

Fields extracted from the invoice can be mapped to specific Xero fields.

Once all the fields have been mapped, save the changes by clicking on the "Save Export Settings" button located at the bottom of the page.

To make Xero your default export system, go to General Settings, select XERO as Default Export and save the changes
